GasTab is an iPhone app that records driving trips.

App Store data available to GasTab

Apple may provide GasTab with anonymous App Store analytics—for example downloads, updates, crashes, and aggregate usage—under Apple’s App Store policies. That data is controlled by Apple. GasTab does not receive your trip routes, maps, or driving scores from the App Store.

1. What your iPhone collects when you download GasTab and take a trip

Your iPhone collects the following data when you download GasTab and take a trip:

GasTab does not have access to this data unless you choose to upload trips.

2. What additional data we collect if you turn on Upload trips

If you enable Upload trips in GasTab Settings (Live → gear), the trip details calculated on your iPhone are also sent to and stored on the GasTab server, including:

Access to server data requires your GasTab access token or login. You can also use server restore features when upload/sync is in play.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Apple collects crash logs and diagnostics under Apple’s policies for App Store apps.

Storage, security & deletion

Trips are stored on your device; uploaded trips are also stored on our server. Protect your device and GasTab credentials—no system is perfectly secure.

You can delete your data without emailing us:

If something does not delete as expected, email scott@gastab.app and we will take care of it.

Children

GasTab is not for children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do.
